Chapel Ministry Group

  • to meet regularly, and to ensure that agenda and minutes of meetings are given to the Rector and posted on the noticeboard in good time, for the information of the Community;
  • to assist the Sacristan and Music Co-ordinator in their specific tasks;
  • to ensure the Chapel is properly maintained, including the care of vestments, altar linen and sacred vessels;
  • to co-ordinate and undertake the setting up of the Chapel for the celebration of daily mass, special liturgies, exposition, confession, etc;
  • to prepare rosters to involve all seminarians in the various liturgical functions including servers, readers, leaders of prayer, etc;
  • to monitor and arrange for ordering of all liturgical requisites, including eucharistic bread, wine, candles, incense, etc;
  • to liaise with St Patrick’s Cathedral concerning involvement of seminarians as servers, etc on occasions when the College Community attends the Cathedral;
  • to ensure that a register is maintained by the Music Co-ordinator, of any music used which is outside of the regular hymnbooks (Gather Australia and the Catholic Worship Book);
